Congress blames CM for Goa’s financial mess

BICHOLIM: GPCC President Girish Chodankar alleged that Chief minister M Dr Pramod Sawant is responsible for financial mis-management.
“When Congress was in power there was Rs 7 crore liability, today it has gone to Rs 28 crore. CM is still blaming Congress and Nehru,” he said, adding “the CM has no capacity and it is his failure.”
Chodankar was speaking after inaugurating the Sanquelim constituency Congress office at Kudnem.
Chodankar said, “The BJP has brought about the downfall of all. There are no jobs, no mining and there is hike in prices. We had demanded Rs 100 crore package. The CM is responsible for financial management.”
“BJP is fooling people on mining front since last eight years. Why is Dr Sawant not talking on the 88 leases given by the former CM,” he asked.
He challenged BJP to tell people what happened about the Rs 35,000 crore scam. “The CM has fooled everyone by announcing free water. They have also fooled on language issue,” Chodankar said.
The Opposition leader, Digambar Kamat, questioned if women today are safe in the State. “If law and order is good then only one can trust the government. The CM says that parents should take care of their children,” he said.
