MARGAO: Stating that the Cuncolim-Canacona road is narrow and an accident-prone area, and till all the problems on narrow road is sorted out completely, Janardhan Bhandari, General Secretary of Congress demanded to ban the mining trucks from Margao to Canacona road to avoid traffic congestion and fatal accidents.
A delegation under the leadership of Bhandari handed over a memorandum in this regard to South Goa District Collector Ruchika Katyal on Tuesday to draw her attention to the problem of traffic of overloaded and over-speeding commercial vehicles on Margao to Canacona road.
