PANJIM: The Congress has slammed the BJP-led coalition for reducing the sports merit marks for students, claiming it will demoralise students from participating in sports.
“The Government of Goa has started playing with all the citizens. They have come out with a notification which reduces marks, which were approved by Congress government in 2009. This will demoralise students,” Congress spokesman Durgadas Kamat said.
Congress has demanded that Sports Minister Ramesh Tawadkar should justify why they have reduced the sports marks of students.
