VASCO: Vasco police on Saturday recovered the nylon cord used in the murder of Viresh Hiramat and his wallet, which was thrown in the lake near the railway over bridge along the way to Mangor-Vasco.
The police stated that the two accused, Shivkumar Husmat and Malikarjun alais Mallu Yellagurduppa Idagi, allegedly strangulated Hiramat and later threw the nylon cord, wallet and mobile phone of the deceased Hiramat in the lake to destroy the evidence. However, the mobile phone was yet to be recovered from the river.
The police also recovered two motorcycles, one which was used to commit the murder and the other to destroy the evidence. Vasco PI Sagar Ikoskar is investigating the case.
It may be recalled that Hiramat was found dead at an isolated place at Chicolna-Bogmallo on December 16 and police arrested the two accused on December 25.
