PONDA: Ponda Police Station Police Inspector Mohan Gaude and his team comprising Police Sub-Inspector, Assistant Sub Inspectors, Head Constable and Constables received praises from various sections of the society.
Ponda Taluka locals including Ponda Municipal Council councillors, former chairperson, politicians etc. praised the police team for cracking the double murder case within 24 hours .
PI Gaude and his team so far in two-year period successfully detected five murder cases and that too within 24 hours of crime with the cooperation of police team and support of senior officials.
The two gruesome murders had rocked the Pondaites and if it had not detected on time it could have become a big issue raising question on law and order situation in the State. However, as Ponda Police team detected crime within 24 hours, it gave not only relief to Pondaites but also entire police team in Goa with Superintendent of Police Pankaj Kumar Singh appreciating the achievement of Ponda Police.
On Tuesday, United Tribals Associations Alliance (UTAA) President Prakash Velip, who is also former minister said, “It is sad and the double murder should not had happen but I appreciate the immediate arrest and fastest detection of double murder case of two elderly persons which gave strong message to the criminals that Goa Police is alert and capable of putting them behind bar.”
