Cracks develop on wall of elevated highway at Kerya

PONDA: Few months ago, Kerya-Khandepar villagers had expressed the fear that reinforced earth (RE) wall of National Highway passing through their locality could lead to major disaster due to its height of 14 metres.
The elevated road here is constructed by filling a deep valley, where the locals demanded flyover for their safety. As cracks have developed in panel of the wall, locals fear that it may not withstand heavy monsoon and could collapse.
However, to hide the cracks, the labourers have plastered the wall with cement.
