Craters resurface on the repaired Barazan-Usgao main road

PONDA: The Barazan-Usgao main road has turned from bad to worse as several potholes and craters have resurfaced along the stretch, posing risk to commuters.

Usgao locals have attributed the improper drainage system as one of main reasons for the deteriorated road condition.

It is pertinent to note that the PWD, last week, had repaired the road without taking proper measures, as result, once again, following heavy rains, the potholes have resurfaced.

The locals called upon the PWD supervisors to be present at the site to guide workers engaged by the contractors. Though the repair works are carried out using rubble, the potholes have resurfaced yet again.

The locals have demanded a permanent solution to the problem before Chaturthi.
