MARGAO: As a part of the movement to protect Mollem National Park and Bhagwan Mahavir Wildlife Sanctuary from the three destructive projects,
Protect Mollem Movement has organised a creative writing competition by inviting school and college students to show their skills on the topics related to the movement’s motto.
The activity is aimed to create awareness amongst the students on the importance of preserving the forests and wildlife habitats with a special focus on the conservation of Mollem National Park and Bhagwan Mahavir Wildlife Sanctuary.
The topics are – Conversation Between the Trees of Mollem and Humans, Amche Mollem: What I Can Do As A Young Citizen, To Save It and A Letter To The Environment Minister, telling him why Mollem is irreplaceable for Goa. The word limit is between 700 and 900 words.
The first three winners will be awarded Rs 10,000, Rs 8,000 and Rs 6,000 respectively. Each participant can submit only one entry. The format is Arial, size 12 font. All entries for the competition should be sent to savemolemsanctuary@gmail.com. The last date for receipt of entries is September 7, at 11.59 pm. Prizes will be declared on October 2.
The organisers hope the students will participate in large number and be part of the movement to help safeguard their future.
