CS warns on duplication of essential commodities

PANJIM: Laws enacted to arrest fake production have to be strictly enforced in the State to avoid duplication of essential commodities, Chief Secretary Dharmendra Sharma said at a meeting of the State Level Committee on standardisation and quality system called by Bureau of Indian Standards Western Regional Office, in Association with Department of Civil Supplies and Consumers Affairs.

PANJIM: Laws enacted to arrest fake production have to be strictly enforced in the State to avoid duplication of essential commodities, Chief Secretary Dharmendra Sharma said at a meeting of the State Level Committee on standardisation and quality system called by Bureau of Indian Standards Western   Regional Office, in Association with Department of Civil Supplies and Consumers Affairs. 
The meeting was held on Thursday at the Secretariat with the participation of all Civil Supplies officers. 
“Goods manufactured and purchased should be with standards as approved by the Bureau of Indian Standards and the need of the hour is to sensitise and bring awareness among the people. While the laws enacted to arrest fake production have to be strictly enforced,” Sharma said.
