PANJIM: The main culvert at the entrance of Cambrabhat in Panaji partially caved in on Monday morning. The incident occurred when a truck was crossing over the culvert. Fortunately no casualties were reported. Locals had raised concern over the weak culvert.

Camarabhat resident Rupesh Redkar stated that a loaded truck first crossed the culvert. However the culvert collapsed on one side after a second loaded truck crossed over the same culvert.

The trucks were carry construction material for the retaining wall of the St. Inez creek which passes through Camarabhat. With the collapse of one side of the culvert and the truck being stuck there, no four wheeler could cross the bridge on Monday.
