MARGAO: While Cuncolim MLA Clafasio Dias thanked the government for denotifying the State Highway 8 passing through Chandor, Aam Aadmi Party has preferred to tread the cautious path opting to wait for the actual notification before commenting on the matter.
Clafasio in a statement thanked the Chief Minister, PWD Minister and the TCP minister and pointed out that both the Chief Minister and PWD Minister had assured him to get the SH 8 denotified when he had raised the matter in the Assembly.
AAP Goa Convener Elvis Gomes, who was also the party candidate in Cuncolim for the assembly elections, said they will comment on it only after the actual notification is issued and accused the government of merely showing signs of solving problems faced by people.
