PONDA: Curti-Khandepar Village Panchayat at gram sabha on Sunday decided to issue a notice to Ponda Muncipal Council (PMC) for not collecting garbage as per High Court directions.
The locals also expressed concern over gas lines being laid by the roadside on national highway and internal roads without proper public knowledge, which may invite major tragedy in case of digging conducted by public unknowingly.
The gram sabha also decided to issue notice to panchayat advocate for not attending cases due to which there is fear some eight cases out of 12 may go in favour of the parties.
Locals Sandeep Parkar, Chandrakant Holkar, Rocky Dias and others raised several issues related to public interest.
Locals also demanded to clear the illegal vendors conducting business at underpass of national highway, thereby obstructing traffic.
