AGPDF has asked Panchayat Minister Mauvin Godinho to act on the issue too.

“My soft reminder and appeal to the Chief Minister and Panchayat Minister. As promised and committed to us at our induction day programme, the salary (monthly allowances) for the elected members of panchayats would be increased and paid in time. However, we are to receive this,” said Joseph Vaz, Rachol Sarpanch and AGPDF General Secretary.

“Till date almost six months have passed and the elected panchas are working without pay. We are waiting to hear from your government, the good news of our salary payment immediately. Is it possible this financial year as was promised,” Vaz added.

AGPDF appealed to the Chief Minister and Panchayat Minister to do the needful immediately.
