CURCHOREM: Custodio Pedro Sebastiao Fernandes and Deepashri Dayanand Naik were elected unopposed as Assolda Sarpanch and Deputy during the special meeting held at the panchayat hall at Assolda on Monday.
In the seven-member panchayat, panchas Caetano Floriano Romano Luis Fernandes, Vasanti Vasant Naik and Milagrin Joaquim Francis Morais voted in favour of Custodio and Deepashri while two panch members Anthony Joao Manuel Fernandes and his wife Perpetual Hazel Anthony Fernandes failed to turn up for the meeting.
