After the shocking called-off wedding of composer-filmmaker Palash Muchhal and cricketer Smriti Mandhana, Palash is back in the headlines—this time for his new directorial venture starring Shreyas Talpade and Daisy Shah. The twist? Daisy revealed Palash hesitated to reach out personally after the storm of controversy surrounding his personal life.
In a candid chat recently, Daisy recalled, “I got 2–3 calls from strangers saying Palash wants me in his film. I was like, ‘Palash knows me personally. Why are random people reaching out?’ So, I texted him directly.” Palash replied, “Yes ma’am, it’s true, but because of the recent situation, I’m not contacting anyone personally; it could go off track.” The narration eventually happened, and Daisy agreed to join the project.
On working with a filmmaker under a cloud of cheating rumours, Daisy didn’t hold back. “I can separate personal life from professional life. We don’t know the full story—it’s between two families. I’m staying neutral. He approached me professionally, so who am I to judge?”
She also sent a heartwarming note for the ex-couple, who were set to wed on November 25, 2025, before the wedding was abruptly cancelled due to Smriti’s father’s health—and later clouded by cheating allegations. Daisy said, “I hope everything gets well on both sides. They actually make a lovely pair.”
