CUNCOLIM: Residents of Demani Cuncolim spotted a dead monkey on the tree, on Thursday afternoon, which created panic among the locals fearing the infamous Monkey Fever (KFD) epidemic.
Fearing that the monkey found dead in the tree might have died due to KFD, locals informed the same to local Health department and forest department.
The forest department sent a team to bring down the dead monkey from the tree. Employees of forest department removed dead monkey and sent it for the post-mortem to ascertain the cause of death.
Former Cuncolim Municipal Council chief Urmila Tulaskar spotted the dead monkey and infirmed the authorities to take action.
