PORVORIM: Construction debris dumped by the side of a commercial project of Serula Comunidade near the ACDIL High School has become a nuisance to residents of Housing Board Colony.
The Serula Comunidade is constructing a two-storeyed commercial project near the ACDIL High School and the contractor has reportedly dumped construction debris in front of the project.
During the recent pre-monsoon showers, a portion of the debris washed away and clogged the nearby drains. Rainwater then accumulated on the road, causing various problems to motorists and residents.
Residents of Housing Board Colony have complained to the Penha-de-Franca Panchayat in this regard, but no action has been initiated by the panchayat as yet.
