MARGAO: Local residents have expressed concerned about an open four-feet deep chamber of a water supply pipeline that is located at the side of the Margao-Navelim National Highway.
Locals pointed out that this NH-17 is extremely busy as people use this road to head to Navelim and even further places like the constituencies of Cuncolim and Velim etc and that the highway has seen several accidents taking place on a regular basis.
While the locals have called for the chamber to be closed, the fact it is full of water. After complaints, a barrier was put in front of it but locals feel that this is just temporary as if there is still a chance of people falling in, either by walking or on account of an accident.
