PORVORIM: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) candidate for North Goa parliamentary seat Dr Dattaram Desai stated that democracy is at crossroads and people’s power should show its strength.
Dr Desai was speaking at a meeting at Moira on Sunday evening. AAP convened a meeting at Moira in the morning, following by another meeting at Aldona in the evening.
Speaking further, Dr Desai described the agitation he had undertaken to drive the controversial industry Nylon 6.6 out of the State and where common people demonstrated their strength.
He also denied his links with RSS and stated that he does not believe in theocratic and dictatorial rule. He appealed to people to be fearless and to vote for AAP.
Dr Oscar Rebello pointed out that it was interesting that Aam Aadmi Party is accused of being Congress agents in Delhi and RSS agents in Goa.
“Clearly, AAP cannot be both. The point is that AAP is a threat to both the national parties, who represent two sides of the same coin,” said Dr Rebello.
