MARGAO: Dengue has raised its ugly head in coastal Benaulim with Benaulim deputy Sarpanch Xavier Pereira admitted in hospital for suspected dengue.
Since Xavier has been convalescing at a Margao-based private hospital since Wednesday, the Benaulim Sarpanch Royla Fernandes has got the Cansaulim Primary Health Centre to carry out fogging operations around the residence of the deputy sarpanch at Vaswaddo.
“The panchayat had despatched a written letter to the Cansaulim PHC to carry out fogging operations in the area”, Royla said.
