Dharbandoda mine closed

The Salgaonkar mine at Tatodi-Dharbandoda in Sanguem taluka has been shut down by the management.
According to sources, the decision has been taken by the management due to reduction in the demand for iron ores from countries like China.
The sources further informed that workers of the mine would be shifted to other mines of the company situated in different places.
It is learnt that the school bus, which was provided by the Salgaonkar Company to the school children of Tatodi-Dharbandoda and its vicinity will remain as usual for transportation.
