Kamat made the call after Margao residents complained to him against the bad conditions of the roads in the city due to the works carried out by the Sewerage Corporation.
He said once roads are hot-mixed, the Sewerage Corporation should refrain from digging the roads. Further, if water pipelines are broke during the course of the work, instead of fixing itself, the Sewerage Corporation should request the PWD to do the job, he said.
Kamat said that he has taken up with PWD, the issue of road digging after it has been hot-mixed.
The PWD has assured to prevent digging of hot-mixed roads and has further threatened to file cases against anyone who does so, he added.
