PANJIM: The State Registrar Office has now made available digitally signed marriage certificates online.
State Registrar-cum-head of Notary Services Ashutosh Apte said that the people can now apply online for digitally signed marriage certificates. This facility was started from June 1. Earlier, the people had to apply for their marriage certificate and then visit the respective Sub-Registrar offices to collect them. But now they can avail it online, he said.
Apte said that many new initiatives are in the pipeline and are working on to improvise the National Generic Document Registration System (NGDRS) which was implemented in 2018.
