Soon disabled persons under the Dayanand Social Security scheme will be paid Rs 3,000 per month, Social Welfare Minister Sudin Dhavalikar informed the House on Thursday.
Replying to demands on Social Welfare, Dhavlaikar further informed the House that tomorrow the Chief Minister Digambar Kamat would take charge of the Tribal Welfare Department.
Speaking on demands Pandurang Madkaikar had demanded to know whether the CM or Sudin was holding the charge of the department. He also called for constitution of the tribal commission. 
Dhavalikar spoke about several schemes, including Bal Rath, that were introduced by the ministry and informed the House that the file for final clearance for giving 27% reservation to OBCs has been sent to the Law Department.
Several MLAs like Ramesh Tawadkar, Pandurang Madkaikar, Dayanand Mandrekar, Mahadev Naik, Francis Silveira, Dayanand Sopte and Babu Kavalekar made a strong demand for the reservation. They mentioned a resolution in this regard was passed a year ago.
Kavalekar called upon the House for an all-party delegation to impress upon the Centre yet again the need for bringing the Dhangar community under the ST bracket. He made a call to extend the same benefits to Dhangars as those given to STs.
Chief Minister Digambar Kamat informed that in the Kanyadan Scheme there were some problems but now the Government had made a provision of Rs 3 crore for the same.
