PANJIM: The Goa unit of National Students Union of India (NSUI) on Saturday expressed disappointment over the down gradation of Goa University (GU) from ‘A’ grade to present ‘B++’ by The National Assessment and Accreditation Council.
NSUI demanded that the Education Minister Pramod Sawant should take fast steps to revive the NAAC status of GU.

Addressing the media NSUI Goa Unit President Naushad Chowdhari alleged that the vacancy of the post of GU registrar and vice chancellor and that of the few teaching staff has been filled on favoritism without checking the education qualification of candidates.
