PANIIM: Following assurances from MLAs Tony Fernandes and Francisco Silveira, the displaced kiosk owners protesting outside Goa Medical College (GMC) Bambolim withdrew their chain hunger strike but vowed to continue their protests until the rehabilitation process begins.

In a media statement after meeting the two MLAs, Inacio Dominic Pereira said they were informed that the work will be completed within one month. The MLAs had also asked them to withdraw their hunger strike.
“However the protestors have resolved that the chain hunger strike will be kept on hold but the protest will continue for a month until the possession of the place where we are to be relocated is given,” he said.
