PANJIM: The non-government organisation GOACAN highlighted the key issues in relation to public safety during the inspection of Panjim KTC bus stand that was carried out by the Directorate of Transport, on Saturday.
The few key issues such as removal of debris, stones and pavers lying at different places on the bus stand endangering passengers’ movement, introduction of additional pedestrian (Zebra) Crossings, stop lines, colour coded signage, removal of old boards, worn out signage and outdated notices were highlighted.
Repairing of gutters and broken slabs for smooth passage of passengers entering and exiting were few among others.
