PANJIM: The head of the mining monitoring committee Dr U V Singh who is in the state has reportedly visited Mormugao Port Trust.
Sources say that he may have arrived in Goa because of the e-auction scheduled on May 12, as well as look into clearing of all the ore stacked at the MPT.
However, sources are not ruling out the possibility that he may have come to look into the controversy surrounding the NOC given to a company which was later held back.
The Supreme Court-appointed monitoring committee is supposed to oversee the e-auction of ore stacked at jetties.
