During the meeting, various issues related to the department were discussed along with proposed upcoming events.
“We discussed various departmental issues, upcoming festivals and events and promoting various activities to further strengthen the department,” the Minister tweeted.
Rane said that he has directed the IFS team to create a vision document for the next five years that will bring vibrancy to the department.
The officers are also been asked to draw up specific schemes to promote various activities of the department, such as encouraging field trips and staff awareness programmes.
Soon after taking the charge, Rane had sparked major controversy after he declined to have a tiger reserve in Goa claiming that tigers are non-resident animal.
