Drishti contributes Rs 5 lakh towards CM’s Relief Fund

PANJIM: Drishti Lifesaving Services has contributed Rs 5 lakh towards Chief Minister’s Relief Fund to fight COVID-19. The gesture comes from the organisation to add the State government’s efforts in its fight against the COVID-19 outbreak.

The lifeguarding force and staff of Drishti collectively contributed Rs 3.8 lakh while the management team contributed a sum of Rs 1.2 lakh.

Drishti has also offered its expert services and resource of vehicles and equipment as and when required by the Government of Goa to assist with relief and outreach efforts.

 “We are in the midst of a global lockdown in an effort to contain the spread of the COVID-19 outbreak. Drishti’s management team and the lifeguard force trained in CPR First Aid and AED are available to assist with any rescue and relief operations as and when called upon by the State government. As a gesture of support our entire team has contributed a day’s salary towards the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund,” Ravi Shankar, Executive Director, Drishti Marine, said in a press statement issued on Friday.
