PANJIM: The Nigerian Ugochukwu, who was arrested late on Thursday night with drugs worth Rs 32.45 lakh, has been remanded to three days police custody by the NDPS Court.
The Anjuna police had seized 3.10kg charas of Rs 6.30 lakh, 505 LSD papers costing Rs 10.10 lakh, 114 gms MDMA amounting to Rs 11.30 lakh, 42 gms cocaine of Rs 4.25 lakh cocaine and 20 ecstasy tablets worth Rs 60,000 from his possession.
Anjuna PI Paresh Naik confirmed the arrest was on a tip off that the Nigerian will carry the consignment to sell to a prospective customer, when the team conducted the raid.
Meanwhile, in a separate raid at Omkar and Runal Palyekar’s house on Thursday, the NCB sleuths seized drugs and arrested the latter while Omkar has been on the run.
