Drug peddlers wanted by Maha cops nabbed in Anjuna

PANJIM: Two accused, part of a drug syndicate from Nagpur and  reportedly hiding in Anjuna were arrested by the police in a joint operation yesterday.

The Anjuna police in coordination with their Maharashtrian counterparts developed the information by laying a trap led to nabbing of the co-accused Pankaj Charde and Akram Kharde, both residents of Maharashtra involved in Sonegao Police station crime registered under NDPS act 1985. 

Both the accused were arrested at Muddiwado, Anjuna. The two were earlier booked by the Sonegao Police in a narcotic raid in which they had had seized 1.9 kgs of MDMA drugs worth Rs 2 cr from the possession of the accused person Kunal Govind Ghabane who is a resident of Nagpur Maharashtra. 

The two accused who were nabbed in Goa were also involved in the illicit trade.
