MARGAO: Principal Sessions Judge B P Deshpande while convicting a 50-year-old Vijay Kerkatta of murder posted the arguments for quantum of sentence on March 16, in the matter that was argued for the State by Public Prosecutor Ladislau Fernandes.

It may be recalled that on October 8, 2018, at around 4.30 pm following a discussion, Vijay assaulted a 23-year-old Umesh Dungdung, who fell on the ground, when Vijay picked up a laterite stone and hit him on the face due to which he died.
