PANJIM: New and Renewable Energy Minister Ramakrishna Dhavalikar on Tuesday announced that the government will continue the subsidy for electric vehicles even as he disbursed subsidy to 327 Electric Vehicle (EV) owners.
He further said that the scheme for promotion of electric vehicles in the State, which was temporarily discontinued from August 1 this year will resume soon.
Dhavalikar said subsidy to 327 two-wheeler, three-wheeler and four-wheeler owners will be directly credited in their bank accounts within next three days. He however disbursed subsidy to 25 owners at a function held at the Secretariat seminar hall, Porvorim.
The Minister also informed that the tender for installation of charging stations for electric vehicles will be issued within a fortnight.
