Education officers of the Central, North and South Educational Zones (EZ), dealing with applications from admission seekers on the waiting list, have begun approaching HSSs with vacant seats.
While the Central Zone has received 18 applications – 12 seeking admissions in the science stream, five for arts and one vocational – the North Zone is working towards accommodating 27 students on the waiting list. The zone offices are expecting more applications in the coming days as supplementary exams are scheduled in the next 10-12 days.
“We have eight students for science and an equal number of students who have filed forms for vocational, and six and five for commerce and arts, respectively. We have suggested Ganesh Vidhalaya Mandir at Mapusa and Government HSS at Pernem, and looking out for more,” NEZ officer Bhagirath Shetye said.
