PANJIM: The second last day of campaigning saw the Congress candidate touring the Margao constituency organised by the Margao Block Congress committee. The yatra started at the Damodar Saal temple, where Reginaldo was greeted by the Margao MLA Digambar Kamat, along with his supporters who went to seek blessings at the temple. They travelled through the entire Margao area with a large number of supporters who were enthusiastically shouting slogans along the way.
The amount of support Reginaldo received from the area was overwhelming. Every locality he visited he was greeted with flowers. He was garlanded at 10 places during the day. The people, who shook hand with him to wish him luck, said that they are very happy on him receiving the ticket. They travelled through Khareband to Railway station visiting all the by-lanes along the way and greeting people. From there they entered the Colmorod area and travelled in his iconic Ekta Yatra vehicle on the road with a large group following him on motorcycles.
The duo along with the supporters was joined by Fatorda MLA Vijai Sardesai atop the Monte Hill area, where they visited people door-to-door. They briefly stopped at a mosque atop the hillock to interact with the people there.
The yatra concluded with all the supporters singing slogans as the candidate left after spending an entire day with the constituents.
