Panjim: Pernem Electricity Department staff member Subhash Amerkar (53) and resident of Bhirone, Pernem succumbed to injuries while undergoing treatment at GMC on Tuesday night.
According to police sources, incident occurred at around 2.30 pm on Tuesday when the deceased had climbed an electric pole at Sukekolan, Dhargal while on duty. Sources informed that while he was doing some wiring work, he fell down from the electric pole by accident.
He was then immediately shifted to North District Hospital and later referred to GMC, Bambolim. Pernem police have registered n case of unnatural death.
