MAPUSA: PWD Minister Deepak Pauskar in the presence of Rural Development Agency Minister Michael Lobo inaugurated section offices of the Electricity and Public Works Department (Water) at Candolim.
Both the section offices of Electricity Department and PWD (Water) are now under one roof, wherein a school premises is renovated under the corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiative and will provide much relief to the people from travelling all the way to Mapusa and Porvorim.
“Land for the new sub-station for Calangute is already acquired and soon foundation stone will be laid. Work order of 15 crore is already sanctioned. Once this sub-station starts functioning, Calangute will get enough power supply during the season and the people will get relief from the low voltage and power fluctuation issues.
