PANJIM: Clinical trials of a technique involving the use of energy in the healing of diabetes has showed positive results as the doctors involved prepare to launch a bigger project.
The Old Goa based SHWAS organisation, conducted a pilot project with 15 patients from January 28, that lasted 16 days. It showed positive results with a test on the average random sugar levels registering a drop from 289 to 217.
Dr Vinay Shedbalkar, director of Mumbai-based Pharma Edge Centre said he decided to be a part of the study after similar studies were conducted in the West.
“Initially I didn’t believe in the method but I was curious after I noticed similar projects in the West. We decided to carry out all the studies under internationally laid down methods,” said Shedbalkar.
For 16 days, the patients were tested before and after the energy sessions. Vitals including oral temperature, pulse rate, blood pressure and glucose levels were checked for as patients were given a day of energy session followed by a two-day gap.
They noticed that the sugar level peaked after three sessions. “When the energy is given, there tends to be a hormonal imbalance created in the body that causes the sugar level to increase, but with the subsequent sessions, it was noticed that the sugar level didn’t show any increase,” said Shedbalkar.
The next plan for the doctors is to launch a bigger project with 60 patients and longer sessions of the natural energy healing.
