Fernandes threw broad hints that a person can join his party overnight and next day he can become a Congressman. They simply had to fill the membership form at the block level and become a Congressmen. So a person from Panjim, Sant Andre or Cumbarjua can go to the block office and fill the form, he said, indicating that Vishnu Wagh may be under consideration. Fernandes said the matter will be discussed threadbare when the All India Congress Committee (AICC) General Secretary in-charge of Goa, Digvijaya Singh comes to Goa on February 19.
His visit will include a meeting with the GPCC executive committee at Margao, as well as the larger body and inauguration of the District office at Mapusa.
GPCC president however did not deny the names of Jitendra Deshprabhu as well as that of Vishnu Wagh as possible candidates for North Goa Lok Sabha seat.
