MARGAO: A driver was arrested for raping his own daughter with special needs in a village in Salcete on Thursday. The distressing incident came to light when the victim’s mother, who had been abroad for work, returned to Goa. The 21-year-old survivor disclosed the horrifying details to her mother, who immediately lodged a complaint with the Maina-Curtorim police.
The police have registered an offence against the father under IPC Sections 376, 354, 324, as well as Section 92 of the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act 2016.
