MARGAO: The Congress Block of Fatorda termed the manifestoes of both the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)-backed Vibrant Margao and Goa Forward Party (GFP)-backed Fatorda Forward as attempts to fool the people and briefed media persons at Sonsoddo, which they sarcastically called “the most vibrant and forward location”.
Dr Aashish Kamat who is the incharge of Fatorda Block Congress said both the manifestoes have repeated the same things that they have been stating for the last many years and further said they are claiming projects undertaken by the Congress Party as their own.
He pointed out that the Goa Forward Party could not deal with this issue even when its MLA was the deputy chief minister of Goa, neither MLA Vijai Sardessai could stop flowing of sewage to fields nor address the related health hazards.
He also said that much publicized Food Court near KTC bus stand, which was meant to be for Goans is now totally managed by migrants who run the aesthetically designed stalls and alleged that these migrants are paying hefty bribes to a functionary of Goa Forward Party to continue doing their business there.
