MARGAO: Agriculture Minister Vijai Sardessai is developing one acre field next to his house as a demonstration plot for children to get acquainted with agriculture and dirty their hands in the soil where different ideas will be tried.
“In the first place, we shall bring only the primary section students to this field where maybe we can try the experiment that the child grows something and reaps the harvest or takes the fruit of what he has grown,” Vijai said.
He said micro organism will be fed to the plot so that organic cultivation could be taken up.
