CUNCOLIM: The annual zatrotsav of Shree Shantadurga Kunkalikarin commenced at Fatorpa on Sunday.
Following religious rituals such as pooja and mahabhishek, devotees participated in the palkhi procession.
On Monday, the devotees participated in Ambari Rath procession.
The procession of deity on the flower chariot will be held on January 20, followed by procession of the deity on Vijay Rath on January 21 while the procession of the deity on Maharath will be held on January 23.
Due to the prevailing COVID-19 pandemic, the zatrotsav is being celebrated by following SOPs.
Devotees have been requested against crowding.
Shree Shantadurga Kunkalikarin, the Goddess of faith, peace and love, is also known all over Goa as ‘Angoni Devi’ with people of all faith flocking to Fatorpa for peace and religious unity.
