Feast of John the Baptist to be celebrated on June 23

This year the feast of St. John the Baptist will be celebrated on 23th  June. Fr. Joaquim Loiola Pereira, secretary to Archbishop of Goa and Daman when asked why this year the feast is being celebrated on 23rd June stated that this year the Solemnity of Sacred Heart of Jesus is being observed on 24th June. Hence throughout the world the feast of St. John the Baptist of Sao Joao is being celebrated on 23rd June
