Field Outreach Bureau initiates awareness drive to quash misconception on vaccination

PANJIM: The Field Outreach Bureau (FOB), Goa unit is set to launch a month-long campaign from Friday to spread awareness regarding COVID vaccination plan and on Atmanirbhar Bharat initiative to clear apprehensions on the Adverse Events Following Immunization (AEFI). Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant will inaugurate the State-wide drive. 

According to the press statement issued by Press Information Bureau (PIB), the massive awareness drive intents to reach out every corner of the Sate with information regarding COVID vaccination plan and COVID appropriate behavior to curb misinformation and rumours surrounding vaccines. “The campaign is geared towards confidence building and to clear the air on all the aspects of vaccination,” it said.

 The campaign also involves a component on Atmanirbhar Bharat, through which FOB Goa plans to inform citizens about the various schemes, prospects and policies of Government of India, which includes skill development, entrepreneurship and significance of Vocal for Local among others.

The campaign is to be done through Mobile Exhibition vans. A fully equipped state of the art Multimedia exhibition Van will be plying across North and South Goa. Each van will travel 30 to 40 kms and cover 8 to10 villages daily in a district. A privately registered troupe of around six members will be onboard for cultural performances in the cities/villages (on the route) to create awareness on COVID vaccination and Atmanirbhar Bharat through local folk and infotainment.
