Fifth term for Colaso

Manuel Colaso, a veteran politician from Quepem, has made a record for being elected as councillor to the Quepem Municipal Council for the fifth consecutive term.
Colaso was first elected to the council in 1985, the second term being in 1995, as from 1990 to 1994, municipal elections were not held.
Colaso was elected from Ward 9 in 2000 and in 2005, he was elected from Ward 8. On Monday, he was elected as councillor for the fifth time. He won from Ward 8 by a margin of 302 votes defeating Rahul Pereira.
