PANJIM: Chief Minister Pramod Sawant on Tuesday discussed measures to increase the revenue of the State and also took stock of issues related to implementation of the Central government schemes, utilisation of Finance Commission funds, etc.
Sawant chaired the review meeting of the Finance Department in the presence of Chief Secretary Puneet Kumar Goel, Principal Secretary (Finance) V Candavelou and senior government officials at Porvorim. After the meeting, Sawant posted on his X handle, “Took review of the Finance Department. Took stock of issues related to implementation of the Central government schemes, utilisation of Finance Commission funds. Discussed measures to increase the revenue of the State.”
Earlier, Sawant chaired the Industry Interaction programme with representatives of Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), Goa Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GCCI), Goa Small Industries Association (GSIA) and other industry bodies.
Highlighting some of the new regulations of the Goa Industrial Development Corporation (Allotment, Transfer, and Sub-Lease Regulations), 2023, Sawant said that the government has now simplified process with single-window clearance for land allotment and construction of industries and commercial plots will be made available to industries through a simplified auction route.
