In a distressing incident, a fire erupted late Tuesday evening at a residential apartment in Vasco. The blaze quickly engulfed the first floor of the building, prompting a swift response from the Vasco fire department. Following the successful containment of the fire, a Vasco Fire and Rescue Department officer stated, “Our investigation suggests that a short circuit inside the fridge may have triggered the fire. The accumulation of combustible materials, such as cardboard and other scraps, facilitated the rapid spread of flames.”
