According to Vasco fire station officials, the first incident was reported around 12.35 am near Samadhan Appartment in New Vaddem-Vasco in which tables, plastic chairs and wood, which were kept in an open area, were gutted in the fire. The loss is estimated to be around Rs 50,000, while the fire officials managed to save property worth Rs one lakh. In the second fire incident reported near Chicalim Junction, a fruit cart caught fire at around 4 am on Monday morning. The loss is estimated to be around Rs 5,000. The reason behind both incidents is not known.
